Marianne Lambert, the founder and president of ConsultArt, Inc., has been concentrating primarily on the curatorial aspects of her profession in recent years. She has been the curator for the Swan Coach House Gallery since the year 2000 and in 2007 became the curator of Gallery Walk at Terminus - Case Study 100, a public art exhibition space in the lobby of the Terminus 100 building in Buckhead. From 1995-2005 she was the curator of Art Walk at Lenox Square where she assembled more than fifty different thematic exhibitions of Southern art. Over the years she has curated well over 150 different art exhibitions between these various venues, many of which have garnered critical acclaim. She has been active in the art community of Georgia through her museum, collecting, and community activities for over 40 years. She is considered a leading expert on contemporary Georgia and Southeastern art and serves as an advocate for the support of regional artists. In 1981, she became the first curator of the Trinity Art Auction, “A Spotlight on Georgia Artists”, and during her fourteen years as curator established its reputation as one of the premier art auctions in the South. In 1983, she started ConsultArt, Inc., the first art consulting firm to begin business in Georgia and has assembled numerous art collections for businesses and corporations. Her arts activities on the civic level reflect many leadership roles. She has been active over the years on the volunteer boards of the High Museum, the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, the Hambidge Center, the Georgia Committee of the National Museum of Woman in the Arts, the advisory board of Atlanta Celebrates Photography and Art Papers Magazine. Mrs. Lambert was also the leader and coordinator of the Contemporary Art Study Group, an educational organization dedicated to the study of contemporary art, which she organized in 1981 and discontinued in 2006.
